Quick update

I heard back from apple last night. They rejected my latest submission due to the "Action" icon I used in the top right. I changed it and re-submitted within a half hour, so it's back to the waiting game. I'll post here when the update goes through.

Also, I have a phone call with someone at groundspeak tomorrow. No idea what they will say, but it's progress. Wish me luck!

Wow, so they reject your current app because you misused an icon, and yet they'll allow crap like I Am Rich, and a half-dozen "flashlight" programs through without a problem?

*sigh*

Yeah, I should have explained more.

That icon apparently represents an action sheet UI. If you use that without an action sheet then they bump you for improper UI guidelines. The label for the icon is simply "action" which is what that button is for -- a UI action. That'll teach me to use any of apple's built-in icons I guess. I didn't feel it was very clear that these were exclusive, but I guess that's life. I'm hoping that it won't take 9 or so days for that change to go back through.

What a downer. Was checking every single day for the update...

Btw another GeoCaching app appeared yesterday. It seems harder to use than yours, but I purchased a license anyway. I really think the iPhone needs all the good gps soft we can get, instead of 3.000 apps making you able to put a pin on the google map :)

Can't wait to be allowed to purchase a license for your full Geopher app. Just bring it on :)

Thanks for your hard work. I'll keep checking daily. Can't wait for the update and the full app.

I agree with Phil above. I can understand that they'd object to the icon usage (especially after your explanation of it) but it's surprising to see how many buggy, ugly and/or useless apps they approve.

Whatever the case, I'm looking forward to 1.0.5.

And I've got my fingers crossed regarding your communiques with Groundspeak...

how did the groundspeak call go? I cant see why they wont let you automate the copying of cords.
